Nightwolf: You fire up your borrowed vehicle and fly it across the vast emptiness of the Texas desert. As you approach Greenville, traffic coming in becomes increasingly thick, both in the air and on the ground. It isn't difficult for you to lose yourself among the incoming refugees. The Marines patrolling the area in scout choppers, identical to the ones you evaded earlier, pay no special attention to you as they busily race around; attempting to keep things orderly.
As you near Fort Hill itself, a marine patrol directs you to a checkpoint for "screening." The checkpoint in question can be seen ahead, clearly marked by the thick traffic around a green-gray transport bearing the telltale red and white insignia of medical personnel.

Nightwolf heads over and joins the rest of the traffic heading for the checkpoint. She glances distrustfully around at those others in line she can see. She will wait calmly in line for her turn to be screened. At which point she will allow herself to be screened so long as they don't inject her with anything or try to. She will gradually allow them to draw blood from her if that's what it takes to get through the checkpoint.
Nightwolf will refused to answer their questions or talk to anyone else besides Beamer. She will let them know that.

Nightwolf: The marines escort you to the base, where a pair of marines take you to a small, grey interrogation room where they leave you alone with your thoughts. You don't have to wait long however before a short marine enters the room. "Hi, I'm Tanaka Jiro," he says, "but you may call me Jiro. I'm here to keep you busy until Hunter Andrews arrives."Jonathan enters the room. "I am here to find the attractive young woman who is looking for me." He sees Nightwolf and simply walks over to her. "So do you know anyone that fits that description miss?" There is a questioning tone in his voice. It seems that he hopes she will divulge her name. "Well," Jiro says, "Speak of the Devil."(OOC: Please forgive the heavy-handedness of the editing. Beamer jumped the gun by half an hour or so. I blame my racquetball class. Aside from a change in setting. Beamer's post is as he typed it.)

Nightwolf nods to Jiro politely, but doesn't say anything to him. She just sits in the chair with her feet on the table.
A smile curls one side of Nightwolf's mouth when she sees Beamer. She drops her feet from the table and waits for him to finish walking up to her.
Nightwolf: "That description has been used to identify me before. I've been looking for you. It's actually the only reason I came to this millitary base. Do you suppose we could talk a bit more privately?"
She indictates Jiro with her head.
Nightwolf: "I don't think you want anyone else to hear some of the things that I have to say to you. They are kind of personal in nature. You're also going to need something that will read a data recorder. By the way, have you ever had your father's picante sauce? I hear it's legendary. It's amazing, actually. I was really surprised when I had some."
Nightwolf will wait to give Beamer a chance to see if they can't actually be alone. If they can she'll wait for everyone else to leave first, but if not then she'll shrug her shoulders and continue.
Nightwolf: "Fine, I had my suspicions from the start about this so called 'fever' that it wasn't natural in anyway. The more I heard and saw about it the more that I was certain. At the present moment I have no more doubts, thanks to Pirate Pete."
"I've been through quite a lot recently, besides what most people have been related to this 'fever' thing. I have some information and something you should see. You're the only one that I know who I can even vaguely trust, which is strange since the military is close to the bottom of my list of possible trust."
"Tower was into something deep and really bad that I know has something to do with this 'fever' and those who are really responsible for it. He was murdered and his place torn apart. Someone was looking for something. Probably the package he sent me to deliver to that sell-out and traitor to humanity, Brown."
"Pirate Pete might have trusted both of them, but only one deserved it. They're both dead now. Brown went with bomb that almost took me too. That was his goal in his last moments. I managed to recover the package. Tower was murdered during the time I went to deliver the package and before I returned. I found him already dead."
"If you thought this 'fever' was bad, it's not everything. Things are much worse than anyone realizes. People are have died, not from just the ‘fever’ itself, but to keep what’s really happening conceal from everyone. Pirate Pete seemed to know all this was coming too."
"Pirate Pete was your father. He has a message for you that you're going to want to see."
If Jiro hasn't left the room she won't look at him. She knows she's taking a huge risk trusting Beamer, and an even larger one doing so while someone else might likely be listening in or a whitness. Nightwolf doesn't think she has much of a choice though. After all she found, she hasn't to tell someone. She has got to let someone know. Beamer is the only near trustworthy person she has met and knows on this planet. Plus, his father's message to him also makes Nightwolf feel better about taking the risk to trust him. His father didn't seem to trust very many people either.
She can't leave Earth until the trouble that's here is resolved, so she figures she better do everything she can to resolve it before THEY find and catch up with her.

Jiro walks toward the door. "I can take a hint. But if you two lovebirds decide you need a chaperon, just call." He pauses by the door and snatches the wastebasket off the floor. "Safest for all I think," he says with a smirk and winks at Beamer before leaving, with the wastebasket tucked under one arm. Okay, you kids have fun. Beamer looks at Jiro, "Thankyou, I will need to have some time alone with this one Captain. I would not feel comfortable with prying ears listening in on the things that transpired between delicate vessels and myself late at night." With that he winks and half cracks a smile at Jiro. He knows that this room was bugged with the trashcan. The millitary never changes. He did not want to allow anyone to hear what she may want to say. He is already in enough trouble. He will sit closely and wisper in her ear, "Tell me softly of those things I need to hear." He has a slighly dirty tone to decieve any prying ears. His goal to compel him to believe she is his life partner. Though the top priority is to keep it secret and get her out in the open air to speak with him. He looks at the data device and looks at Nightwolf. He thinks about the secret that she knows. He wasn't sure about how he felt about this, he didn't want anyone else to know his father was Petie. It was only time until she put it all together. He asks, "What is your name. Your real name. I'll believe whatever you tell me. I am the son of the old pirate king Petie "Panther" Andrews, or the former Kaptian Kidd. I don't like Pina Coladas, but I do like getting caught in the rain. I was born on Earth, but my mother moved me out the the Skadi fringes when I was young to get away from piracy. Have you ever taken home a 400 ton puppy? I am told there is one that misses it's mother somthing fierce" In any case he will only talk to her about pirate pete in privacy and then request that she go round up his lost puppy. He now knew that his father was killed to keep the information a secret. Fear now rushed through him as well thought that he needed to find his mother. "I need to keep her safe before I take care of the 400 ton beast." He simply needed to find a way to save mum and do his second duty to the military.

Nightwolf whispers everything to Beamer. If they can't be alone. Then she'll grab the front of his shirt and pull him closer. Then whisper it in his ear.
She will not just HAND OVER the data device to Beamer. She isn't letting go of that until she and Beamer can get some privacy with something that could read it.
Nightwolf: (Still wispering): "My real name? I still don't trust you enough for that. However, you may call me Nightwolf. Knowing even that puts in more danger than you know. There are not nice people looking for me. Bad people."
"I know who your father is beacuse of people I've met and I also found his hidden supply of picante sauce. By the way, if you didn't know before you're home, the ranch, it's all been burned to the ground before I ever got there."
"Whatever '400 ton puppy' you're talking about is, it was created by the same people that manucatured this 'fever'. More is on the recording, but you can't have that until we can watch it together. There are some other things I have you need to see. Expect many more like your 'puppy'."

"Miss Nightwolf, I do not trust many people here either. I think my father was assasinated in hopes of keeping this quiet. My mother, the scienctist, may be in great danger. I have not seen her since we were fighting those rabbid humans in the hotel. I need your help. There are not many here worth my trust. I just hope mine is well placed in you." He whispered the words in her ear with a dubious smile.
He looks at the door, "I love you babe." He turns and kisses her neck, "They may still be watching. I hope you won't take offense and I will do all I can to keep you safe. I won't ask who is after you, but it can't be much worse than my uncle Cormus." He sits back stands up and offers her his hand. "I do hope you can keep those secrets." He winks at her. "Shall we go find a viewer that is not owned by the military?"
If she accepts he will sneak out of the base with her long enough to find somthing to safely view the information. His ultimate goal is to gain her trust. He does not know why, but he has a good feeling abou this young woman. She has the makings of a true friend. He wondered about Ellyna and if he would ever have the chance to tell her what a great officer she was, and that she had in fact inspired him. He simply could not believe that she was not worth it.

When Beamer goes in for the kiss, Nightwolf backs away and out of his lips range.
Nightwolf (Aloud): "Oh no you don't, and you're never to call me babe again. We had this conversation, remember. I've given other men black eyes for as much. I still haven't forgiven you. You don't get any of those or anything else. You're on probation, which you've seemed to have forgotten again. Why am I not surprised. I'm still mad at you. You haven't convinced me you're worth it, especially after that ‘incident’. I'm more then worth it. I'm not so sure you are or ever will be. You have this habit of continually forgetting I’m NOT like other wemon. I am NOT a trophy nor am I fragile. Don’t make me remind you. Convince me I should forgive you. Then maybe I'll think about taking you off of probation, maybe."
(Whisper again): "I can handle myself just fine. I don't NEED you are anyone else to protect me. Even if I did, you aren't capable of doing so in any way. I can keep your secretes and many more. I've kept my secretes for quite a long time now, yours won't be a problem."
Nightwolf will not take Beamer's hand. She will get up and make long strides towards the door without looking back at Beamer until she reaches the door.
Nightwolf: "You coming or not?"

"You see what I mean dad?" Beamer says as he looks into the sky.
He walks to the door and opens it. "After you."
We waits for Nightwolf to exit. He glances back in the room from the door for any sign of recording device that may have really been left behind. He closes the door and heads out.
"So what do you know about this 400 ton beast?" Beamer asks Nightwolf. "Did you just tell more?"
