You're bad? I've done that in a real-time session.

I've done that a number of times too, and not always with the NPC villians, but with the NPC helpers too. I've completly forgotten my plot before and made something completely new on the spot. That's part of the reason I started keeping a written outline of it.

I almost never bother with stats for NPC helpers. In fact, I ran one campaign where they were my major NPCs bodyguards the whole time. I never bothered with her stats.
I don't know how it is in mage. But in DnD, it takes too much time to stat up a character to do it for an NPC unless you expect him to take a drubbin.

I don't usually bother with an NPC's char sheet unless they are a main helper. Most NPCs I don't bother with it. However, if this NPC is going to be around with the PCs a lot, and I might use him or her in another campaign I will. Same with the NPC villian chars that I plan to have stick around or become main villians.
I dunno, after making a few NPC char sheets you start to get a real feel for doing it and it doesn't take as long. Plus, I don't know how DnD does it but in Mage you DO NOT roll ANYTHING while making your char sheets. That might help too.
Getting drumbed seems to happen more and more in my mage campaign... NPCs or no... Plus in the world that White Wolf sets up for Mage (including it's other games too... known as the World of Darkness in general when talking abuot them all in general) there seems to be alot of drumbing goings around in one sort or another.

First can we move this thread to another area...
Second I am guilty of stated charges many times over!

If we moved it where'd we move it to, the Captain's Table...er... current or past Gm Table?
Speaking of which where is our GM? He told us he'd try to post Wendsday, I didn't really expect him to make that, but may be a day or two after. Nothing. I'm going to guess he's busy with school, work, and family. I'd have been happy if he'd posted one line, "Sorry! I'm busy can't post now like I said. I'll try to post somtime later when I can."
We didn't even get that. Heck he could even have had Lironah relay the message and post it for him. He said before she had more time to post than he did.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to compain about his lack of posting. I'm sure he has perfectly good reasons for it, even if it's he fully intended to but forgot or got caught up in other things or just wanted to relax or what have you.
I'd just like to know what's going on, be in the loop. Whatever his excuse fine. I've been guilty of the same myself at times. Sometimes because I've gotten caught up in a vedio game or something. I'd just like to know I don't need to check the forums every day just in case he's really late if he knows he isn't going to be able to post for four or five days or even a week or so.
I might even be interested in why he can't posted if say his house burned down or something. Howerver, if it were that or they had a little one on the way I'm sure Lironah would have told us already if Galadare couldn't. I'll have to asume it's nothing serious. If it were I'd definitly want to know. We're all freinds here right? Friends help each other.
Anyway, it looks like this thread has almost turned into, "Who has done the worst or most lazy thing as GM?" I suppose we can also add to that "Which GM has done the cruelest thing to thier Players." If we do that I'm going to have to say that Beamer and Galadare win. I'm just too nice even when I'm mean.
I'm sure the both have you in your long history of GMing have had one of your Player's char's dye or killed. Well, in Galadare's case I KNOW he's killed or have had died some of his Player's chars. I haven't yet. Not with any of the table top games I've GMed. Not ever. Recenlty, one came close enough to getting KOed from shear damage. A health level after that is death. So, I guess one got close... One of my main NPC Villians also got kind of close in the same battle.

I've killed players before...in fact, I've slain the whole party playing Descent.
Galadare has written up a post or two, but he never got online to post them. I think mostly because Conference distracted him. His computer doesn't stay connected because there's no way to stretch the cable across to his work space without tripping somebody (we busted a port once that way, too). At school though, he has wireless access, so unless he's too busy with homework, I imagine he'll post tomorrow.

Great idea! OOC was what I thought... but I have bad ideas as Nate and Ruth will tell you. My plans are not well enough explained I guess.
Now I should buy a 50' CAT5 and give it to Nate.
I should as well add my barn burning news footage, or the aftermath.
