A tall building bearing the label "Johnson, Siskel & Brown" dominates the corner Ross and Lamar; streets that are now eerily empty given the volume of traffic they were clearly designed for. The building's glass doors open into a lobby done in marble and olive wood, an expensive combination. By far, the majority of the rooms occupants are the sculptures; standing like mute sentinels in an all but forgotten temple.
A terminal in the lobby tells you that Richard Brown's office is only accessible from the lobby on 78. After a brief ride in the elevator, you find yourself in front of a receptionist's desk. Behind the desk sits a chipper young man who asks: "Can I help you, ma'am?"

"I'm looking for Richard Brown. Can you direct me to him?", inquires Nightwolf. She tries to hide her curiosity of what Tower sent her to deliver and it's importance as well what exactly is troubling him so greatly.

The receptionist presses a button on the desk and says: "Mr. Brown, there is someone here to see you."
The desk responds "Send them in."
The receptionist points you to a hallway and tells you it's the third on the right.
Following the receptionist's directions, you find yourself in a large corner office that looks like a twister hit the place. Every drawer of every filing cabinet is open to on degree or another and haphazard piles of books, papers and files cover virtually every reasonably level surface. A tall man with graying hair stands in the far corner of the room. When you enter, he leaves the filing cabinet he was standing by and says, "Welcome, how may I help you?"

Nightwolf takes the room in at a glance and then trains in on the graying haired man.
Nightwolf: "I've been sent here with a package for you from Tower."
She holds it out for him to take watching his every move and slightest expression. Other than that she just waits silently motionless.

Brown moves toward her to accept the package. But as he passes the desk, Nightwolf notices a small puddle of what looks like it might be blood seeping out from under it.

Nightwolf walks up to Brown and gives him the package on her way to look at what is under his desk that is making the puddle. She has her own ideas of what it might be, and is after a confirmation.

The man happily takes the package from Nightwolf, but surprised when she keeps going rather than turn around. He simply stands there while she peeks under the desk, where Nightwolf finds the body of a young woman who had her throat cut.
Nightwolf's attention returns to the man in the suit, just in time to see him drop the package on a nearby chair and draw a wicked looking combat knife from inside his jacket. The knife is quite distinctive, with a blade twelve inches long and brass knuckles built into the hilt.
"I don't know where you're from Miss Kitty," he says and licks the blade, "But I'm sure you know what they say about Curiosity."

Nightwolf raises one eyebrow and pulls out her own combat knife.
Nightwolf: "I'm a wolf not a cat."
Nightwolf prepares herself for a fight and watches the man's moves very carefully waiting for the first sign of his attack.

(OOC: Nightwolf, I appologize for my delay in posting. I haven't got a good excuse.)
Brown lunges forward and swings his knife in a wild arc. Nightwolf easily deflects [3 melee vs 8 melee], leaving him open for her counterstroke. Nightwolf's knife flashes like silver lightning. Her opponent makes a valiant effort to defend himself [8 melee vs 5 melee], but Nightwolf penetrates his defense. Brown steps away; bleeding but largely unharmed [30 Damage vs 25 LW].

Nightwolf continues to watch the man's every move should he attempt to attack her again or run. He knife is at the ready.
Nighwolf: "I get this feeling you know a lot more about what is really going on around here then you let on. Let's chat about that and the dead guy you’re so poor at concealing."
OOC: Apology excepted.
