After assessing the damage during your layover in Guantanamo, you've determined that she's been worse, but you'll still need a lot of help to make her battle ready in any reasonable time-frame. Even getting her to Texas under her own power will take more than you have available at the moment, forcing you to settle for a poky old cargo hauler. Eventually, you arrive at Greenville to find the Spaniard and Captain Tanaka waiting for you on the airfield. As you disembark, the Spaniard acknowledges you with a nod and Tanaka salutes. "Good to see you made it in on piece. What's the situation with that fish of ours?"

"I have it under control hunter. Have all the preparations been made so that I can brief the fleet I will be taking with me?"
Beamer waits for the spaniards response. If all of his requests have been met he will stick around to help, otherwise he will head back to fix Bitty and return when they have his request list given ready for him to lead.

"I'm not asking for your opinion, hunter, I want a report. Just because the League charter gives us the authority to command in crisis situations, it doesn't mean we don't have to answer for our actions.
Now don't get me wrong, Beamer. It isn't that I don't trust your professional judgment. You are an oddball but your record speaks for itself. The problem is that no amount of paper in the galaxy can make a politician enjoy being told what to do. Keeping them in the dark makes it even worse. The president is going to make trouble when I tell her that she has to arm a bunch of convicts. If I'm going to make it happen, I'll need something to club her with. What can you give me?"

"Well only if you promise to club her. My mech was destroyed, the thing was too small to swallow bitty whole. Though it is large enough that it will take a fleet of pilots that have nothing to live for to keep her busy. I would estimate roughly one and a half kilometers long and just over fifty decameters around. Though that beak was just large enough to swallow a large body armored man. I want to send three into it's stomach and let them cut her open from the inside. If they fail... well I need some boys that know they get freedom for bringing it down.
I still need to analyze the things it fired at me. Some acidic projectiles that ripped my mech apart. We need to be ready for a full wolf pack assault if my first option fails...
Now if you really know so much about me, you realize that this is a first. You came to me to get this job done. I have the record, and if your politician says no to my request... well you'll understand why I never ask permission. I always find it better to ask forgivness."
Since his requests were not met, he begins to head back to fix Bitty. He figures by the time the politicians take the time to get the papers drawn up and filed, then approved, and filed again, then on the amendments, then filed, then voted, then filed, then vetoed, then filed, then repealed, then filed, then voted, then filed, then shut down.... he will be able to have Bitty in perfect working order and possibly teach the natives of that island a few Skaddian games as well... possibly build the arenas and all.

As anticipated, it takes the Spaniard some time to get the convicts you wanted assembled, though Bitty's needs easily consume the time available. Putting her back together in time is no mean feat, particularly given the lack of any suitable replacement parts. While you are able to get her into some semblance of battle readiness, it simply isn't possible to fully restore her with the time and tools available to you.
Eventually, Captain Tanaka shows up to inform you that your briefing has been arranged. He leads you to a conference room similar to the one you were in earlier except somewhat smaller. The seats are all filled with men and women in orange jumpsuits and the walls are lined with MPs.

Before beamer looks into the room he asks Tanaka, "So how many of these convicts do you think really want a chance to get out? As well I would like to see their records, why there were jailed. I may only be able to use a few of them. The last thing I want it to place a thug into a mech if he only wants to make problems worse... This is their only second chance Tanaka, I want to give it to ones who are worthy of it. I am only giving that to 4 of them." (assuming that is 20% or less).
Beamer breathes deeply and exhales slowly. "Tanaka, I don't know this world well enough to prevent serious damage if I go over the top with one of my unortho plans. I as well don't want a bunch of green kids in the water with me. Though I tend to drive 'by the book' officers nuts. I would appreciate help down there pacifying this creature, or killing it if we must. Do you know anyone who could handle this crazy assignment to work with me. I don't want to take this entire group of convicts if I can help it." He smiles and resheaths his gun.

Captain Tanaka looks flustered for a moment: "Thanks for the vote of confidence, but...have you checked yourself out with Medical since your last trip? You know, just in case you have a concussion or something," then he smirks and snatches the datapad away from you. "I'm honored that you trust me enough to invite me to you're party."He taps at the datapad a few times then hands it back to you, "As for which of these goons you want...here." He hands the pad back to you. The screen displays a revised list with about forty names on it. Three names at the top are blue while the five at the bottom are red; the rest are gray. "Personally, I'd take the blue ones. All had fantastic combat records before their incarceration and none are in for violent crimes. You could also handle one or two of the gray, but I'd recommend against it. From what I hear of your last encounter, babysitting them would be more trouble than it's worth. As for the red at the bottom...I wouldn't trust any of them with a lemon wedge." The smirk falters briefly. "I should have shot Garret when I had the chance.
"Anyway just tap on the name and his dossier will pop up. Just let me know when you want to ship out," he says as his sunny disposition returns with gusto, "Now if you'll excuse me, Hunter Rodriguez has a dozen things he wants me to do by yesterday."He stops suddenly and turns back to you. "One more thing. Torpedoes. Lots of torpedoes. Beams are all well and good in space, but salt water changes the rules. Too much diffraction."

Beamer looks at all three blue names as well as this Garret fellow. He looks over the details intensely. He as well asks a private to order some food in the form of nachos or chimichangas. He studies over Garret's log and the other reds. His goal is to find one that has been in less than a week and has a history of breaking out of joints.
(He is really looking for a man who has a history like a legend his father told him of, Riddick. I as well am waiting to hear the details of these guys before I step into the room).

I don't particularly care to come up with full dossiers, but here's the gist of what the datapad tells you about those that Tanaka highlighted. If you care to read any of the other dossiers, you find that those individuals in gray are almost completely unremarkable.
Batista, Cesar; Captain, Retired. Cesar Batista retired with an exemplary record and co-founded a deep-sea construction/salvage company with his brother. He was convicted and sentenced to twenty years for embezzlement and fraud.
Facer, Gary-Cagan; Captain Gary-Cagan Facer was a test pilot until a bar-room brawl ended in the deaths of three civilians as many life-sentences.
Kendall, Aimee; Lieutenant Aimee Kendall was convicted for the murder of her superior officer. The case against her was largely circumstantial.
Garrett, Brandon; Colonel Garrett was convicted and imprisoned of the murder of four junior officers. He has also been charged with piracy, money laundering and treason, but none of these has been proved to the satisfaction of a jury.
Pearson, Kennith; Lieutenant Convicted of piracy and treason for selling military hardware on the black market. His sentence of death has yet to be carried out.
Giuliano, Adelle; Lieutenant Convicted as Pearson's accomplice. She too awaits the gallows.
Taylor, Abraham; Lieutenant Taylor commandeered his machine and basically went on a joyride. He was eventually apprehended after robbing seven banks and three armored cars. He pleaded guilty by reason of insanity to a grand total of forty-two combined charges of grand-larceny, assault, negligent homicide and vandalism.
Willden, Sylvia; Captain In addition to her spotless combat record, Sylvia appears to be an accomplished cat-burglar. Interestingly enough, she is also bears a striking resemblance to Ellyna.

As Beamer enters the room he glances over the roster and tosses out the name, “Swartzch?” to see if there is any response while eating a chimi.
