At the mention of Little Jon, someone slams his fist on a table, and the bar goes silent. Dax begins to say something, but gets cut off by a roar from the back of the room.
"That slimy RAT!? What business do you have with that double crossin' worm?" the speaker, a man the size of Texas gets up from his chair. The man's arms bulge with muscles that would put a horse to shame. His hairless skin, black as charcoal, is patterned with dozens of pale scars. He pulls a knife and continues to bellow: "Bad enough old Petie went soft and abandoned his men, but now his whelp's gone traitor and joined them Hunters. Where is he. That dog. That cockroach. I'll cut his throat for him."
Dax sets his jaw stubbornly while Marley buries his face in his palms and mutters "not again" under his breath.
"Easy Bart," Dax says, "Jon ain't here so just put that knife away. We don't want no trouble."
Another man, as small as Bart is large jumps up on a table. He flicks his studded tongue out like a snake tasting the air. "But maybe this pretty knows where Jon is, and Captain Reeve's offered us six million more reasons to do the job, aye. Besides, we ain't had any fun since Petie landed us with that filthy Code of his. But, Petie's dead..." he hisses and licks the blade of his own knife. His speech is met with murmurs of agreement.

Nightwolf surveys the bar room coolly. She makes a note of everyone who is standing and how much of a potential threat they might be.
Nightwolf: "Oh, so you whole lot went ex-pirate with Jonathan's father or you returning to the business? As for where he is. I don’t know. It seems you gentlemen know him far better than I do. Of course, with that knowledge and the fact that his father is recently dead, I think that you could figure out where he probably is. Where would a man go who just lost his father and left his mother a widow? I’m sure if that doesn't work out you can find him at his father's funeral. If you were associates of his father, I'd think you would already be attending. "

Nightwolf's speech takes some of the wind out of their sails. A few of the less convited sit down and Dax presses the advantage, "That'd be just like Little Jon. The boy's always been soft on the ladies."
The large man, Bart, chuckles at this, "Two-faced punk is soft clear through."
Marley chimes in, "besides it's not like 'e's goin' anywhere. The planet's interdicted; and for those of you who've not been payin' attention. Them's Martian frigates up there, only a fool would try runnin' past them. Peronally I'm looking foreward to the chase."
Murmers of agreement fill the room. Dax looks daggers at Marley but holds his peace.
"Looks like I'll have to settle for red meat," says the small man. He reluctantly puts his knife away, jumps down from the table and dissapears through the front door.
Dax heaves a sigh of relief: "Just like Little Jon to stir up a hornets' nest without even going near it. But I think it's best if you ain't here when Snake gets back. Just easier that way. But if your looking for work. I know a guy in Dallas named Tower who's always lookin for someone who can keep her mouth shut. He's got nothin' to do with Little Jon, but maybe that's a good thing. Just tell him Dax sent you. 'Scuse me. Sorry to keep you waiting Rabbi," He pours Rabbi's drink and sets about his own business, paying no attention to Nightwolf.
"There's a phone in back if you need to call a cab," Marley adds before returning to his own drink.

Nightwolf will thank Dex whether he listens to it or not. She will then call a cab and hope that the fifty credits that Jonathan gave her would be enough to get her to this town, Dallas.
She thinks to herself as she waits for the cab, It's just as well that I'm not staying here for the night. I'm more comfortable on the move in any case. Even if the man had good intentions this Jonathan has too many enemies here and has too many connections to the "authorities" and being a hunter! It'll be too hard to stay under the radar here or having anything more to do with him. Better if I get further away from here.
When the cab comes, she'll take it as far it will take her with only fifty credits in the direction of Dallas. If it doesn't take her all the way, she'll walk the remainder of the distance. When she gets into Dallas she'll begin searching for this Tower guy Dex mentioned.

Fortunately for Nightwolf, Skadi credits still exchange favorably on Earth, despite the quarantine. Even the cab driver, who likely fudged things in his favor, knew better than to take all fifty, leaving Nightwolf enough for a meal or two. This "Beamer" fellow was generous if nothing else.
For Rabbi, things only got interesting after the bar closed. Among the last of the patrons to leave, Rabbi staggered out into the night's quiet. While he stands beside his hovercycle a familiar voice with a hint of Spain comes out of the darkness behind him: "Your mother told me I'd find you here, Rabbi. You're not planning to drive like that, are you?"

"Who's there" he shouts as he stagers into the general location of the voice, as he draws his pistol.

"Easy Rabbi, I don't bite," the speaker stepped out of the shadows, revealing himself to be the Spaniard (a hunter with whom you have a...colorful relationship).
"My but you get jumpy when you drink," he says with that characteristic smirk of his, "You really should lay off the sauce. You don't handle it very well."

The smirk dissapears as the Spaniard walks toward you. "I'm here on business," he says, "Just like you should be. I won't bother explaining now, you're not likely to remember it over your hangover in the morning. So meet me tomorrow. Noon. At Dallas Tech. Remember, this is business, so dress appropriately."
He hands you a card with everything he just said written on it. The smirk returns, "So you don't forget." Then he turns and walks off in the night.
