...sheltered by Matagorda Peninsula and an artificial seawall was constructed about 50 miles further out to sea... Any more questions? You get one more post before I advance the plot on you.

Beamer looks for the damaged one and calls to every troop to fire on both of them as they are spread out making them larger targets.
"Men, if they reach land, I will personally finish your life for them! Aim for their spread skins and let the ocean rip them apart! Give them Hell and God save you if you cannot blow them away!"
He looks at the color schemes and opens a link to the Spaniard, "Hey Amante! I wonder if Dr. ZB has ever seen coloration like this with the species she has encountered. This could possibly be an outer world attack." He as well submits any visual that he can to the Spaniard.
[OOC: I still do not understand the schematics of these machines. I will need to sit down with you Nate and figure it out at some point so that I know what I have to work with]

The two monsters surf in at incredible speed, but not as fast as the wall of onrushing water. The wave breaks over the reef and rushes across the bay, raising the water level up to the shoulders of your mechs, threatening to topple them and in a few cases succeeding. Your infantry were deployed far enough inland to be out of the water's path.
For a moment, the two fish disappear, despite their immense bulk. Suddenly they burst from the bay, advancing with a rolling gait reminiscent of the koosh balls you had when you were younger.
Both creatures are mottled orange and black, but the one on the left has a number of tentacles that are a sort of pinkish-gray in color.
The grayed squid rushes at the beach. It comes into range quickly and your left flank opens fire with their armor piercing cannons.
Slows its approach, keeping itself outside of the Apes' optimal range.

[ooc: Something tells me these are deep water creatures. So they should show on an infrared sensor as colder than the water that his hit by the sun. Is this the case? If so I have a new method of attack].

[ooc: Thought I had posted this]
Special team, show me why Earth's courts wanted you in jail! Give these guppies ****! Left flank be sure to keep your rounds out of the water so they don't shatter on impact. If you have torpedoes, use them at long ranges. I want our right flank to watch for any incoming fishes on your side, do not approach unless I or Tanaka command it.
All units use infrared sensors to find these things, they are deep water creatures and their core tempratures will show up as deep blue to black against the slightly warmer surface ocean waters!"
Beamer turns on some classical music and says playfully, "Bitty, do you want to rust in the bottom of this rock's ponds?" He will wait for her response which he expects to be a creative form of negative and then reply, "Then let's get into the air and shoot it up!"

Bitty responds to your jest: "I prefer not, those salts are terrible for my complexion." More importantly however, Bitty responds to your commands well enough that you are forced to recognize the skill of the techs on this rock.
The injured guppie continues to rush forward in a gait that's halfway between a lumber and a roll. It continues its charge until your men begin to give ground in deference to its mass. One by one, your men let loose with their anti-tank missiles and the guppy suffers some serious damage. It comes to a halt and begins to inflate. Your convict pilots advance, but are hesitant to get too close to the flailing monstrosity.
Rather than advance, the second beast adopts a stable position and extends a pair of muscular tubes from its back. The tubes constrict, bulge, then pop; spitting large round objects. The balls fly well over the heads of your troops like the shell of a great, rubbery mortar, eventually landing well inland of your position. Oddly enough, the projectiles dramatically increase in temperature during their flight, but not enough to indicate a heat based weapon.

Beamer thinks about the possibility of jetted weapons from these beasts. He asks the eye in the sky if there are any reports of these round projectiles coming in from other companies. If there are reports of these things exploding then he will tell his land troops to get away, if they just seem to sit for a time then make their impact he will command his land troops to knock them back into the sea toward the guppies themselves.
He himself, admiring the ancient tales of Alexander the Great, takes the lead and fies over the cephalopod that just launched a ranged attack commanding Ms Clepto and Joyrider to follow suit. He wants to see how these things attack in close quarters from a near air raid.
"Tanaka, I want you to analyze how these things attack and defend against the three of us shooting them up and some of the melee attacks that I will be hitting them with!
Beamer realizes that he is no longer fighting these things underwater and will attempt to use his laser sword to hack off the tentacles in a manner that has made him famous throughout Skadi! He will remain aware and allow Bitty to maneuver away from any danger she senses that he may miss as he is getting in that close.
"Well love, remember this is no good for your complexion. So stay safe Bit."
He knows the other soldiers will keep attacking the damaged guppy until it disappears or dies.

It takes a moment for the blockade fleet to respond to your query. When the controller does, it's more in the form of a general advisory. It seems that the guppies will, in fact, explode in a shower of smaller organisms. You are also advised that the enemies' "shells" are to be intercepted in mid-flight whenever possible.
You jet past the guppy swinging with your beam saber. You manage to hack off one of the tentacles and note a mass of smaller tentacles attempting to squirm free of the stump before your attention is dominated by the cannon-like appendages, which have managed two more shots each by the time you reach them. During your attack run you manage to batter one enough that it cannot throw its projectiles very far.
Unfortunately you lost track of Ms Clepto and Joyrider during your flyby and Tanaka hasn't responded to your commands.
Your more immediate concern, however, is the hail of projectiles emitted by a rough patch on the creatures posterior as you rocket past. A dozen or so of the small objects impact lightly on Bitty's armor.

[ooc: How did we handle the reptiles they remind me of?"
"Aim for their sails! Let's slow them as much as we can and help them lose massive amounts of blood!"
Beamer takes aim at the one closest to himself and hopes these soldiers can follow a captain that leads the party.
